Tumblr –  http://ibourgie.tumblr.com/

I am a woman who loves to challenge herself and inspire others to do the same.  Although I am a work in progress, I hope that I will continue to progress and that each goal met is an opportunity to reach for another.  I enjoy writing, cooking, healthy living, fashion, and restoring furniture.  I am a regular at Goodwill, Salvation Army and various thrift stores and flea markets.  I love re-purposing items and DIY projects. Quitting my job initially cut my household income in half, but that didn’t stop my love of fashion and nice thing, I just got a lot more creative in acquiring them (legally..lol).

My lifelong passion has always been writing.  After becoming a mother, I quit my job and devoted my life to my passion for writing and being a stay-at-home mom to my son.  The transition has been challenging, but the rewards have been tremendous.

I hope to share what I have learned on this blog and I hope to learn from others.  My intention is to pour all of the love I have for life into every word in the hopes that they will touch all who read them.

  1. Hello,
You’ve got words to be included in the book I’m working on about writing:

‘I use a pen and a journal. Depending on the mood I’m in, the type of pen changes. I have to use a fine point felt tip pen when I am just brainstorming. When I am actually writing out a story I have to use a medium ball point pen. Once I went through a phase when I could only write on a pink spiral-bound legal pad.’

I’m just putting it together now and need to add your name, age and country. If I don’t hear from you I’ll just use ‘ibourgie.’
    Thanks heaps,

  2. iB, comments do not appear to be enabled for your recent posts, ergo this workaround. 🙂 Thank you for your post re: my new book. I was unaware you had promoted it until I saw visitors to my blog that were referred via your site. That was/is very kind of you. When you finish reading the book, I would value and appreciate your thoughts/ feedback.
